IPL 2022: Here’s list of all award-winners, cash prizes of the season; Know details
Here’s the entire list of the awards and cash rewards that were given after the final of this season:
The Champions: Gujarat Titans made their debut this season and successfully won their maiden title. The team had finished at the top of the points table with 20 points at the league stage. The champions received a cash prize of Rs 20 crore.
The Runners-up: Even though Rajasthan Royals ended up losing the final won’t take the trophy home but they will definitely take back the cash reward of Rs 12.5 crore.
The Purple cap winner: Wanindu Hasaranga and Yuzvendra Chahal both had taken 26 wickets in the season till the final. But Chahal scalped a wicket in his fourth over and got the Purple Cap and Rs 10 lakh.
The Orange cap winner: Jos Buttler is the undisputed winner of the Orange Cap in this edition of the cricket league with runs. The second player in the race is KL Rahul with runs. Buttler will get a reward of Rs 10 lakh.
IPL emerging player of the tournament: This award with a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh was decided upon by the audience voting via iplt20.com and the panel of tv commentators. The winner is Umran Malik. The other contenders were Tilak Varma, and Maheesh Theekshana.
The player who hit maximum sixes in IPL 2022: Jos Buttler has smashed 45 sixes in 17 matches this IPL and got Rs 10 lakh as an award. The second player to hit most maximums is Liam Livingstone with 34 sixes from 14 matches. Liam also hit the longest six of the season.
Super Striker of the season: Dinesh Karthik who won this award got Tata Punch car. The other top contenders for this prize were Liam Livingstone, Rovman Powell, and Glenn Maxwell
Game changer of IPL 2022: Jos Buttler won this award with his extraordinary performance by hammering runs for his team. He has made four fifties and four centuries this season. Kolkata Knight Rider’s Andrew Russell was the second in the list. He also got a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh.
Fair Play Award: Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans jointly won this award.
Fastest Delivery of the season: Lockie Fergusson who broke Umran Malik’s record of fastest delivery in the final, won this award and cash prize of 10 lakhs.
Catch of the season: Evan Lewis won the award to take a one-handed catch of Rinku Singh and got Rs 10 lakh.
