‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ box office collection Day 7: Kartik Aaryan starrer inches closer to Rs 100-crore mark – Times of India

According to boxofficeindia.com, the film closed off its first week at the ticket window on a high with an ‘excellent’ collection of Rs 90 crore nett. The film not only managed to beat out the competition, but also maintained a good hold over the box office on the weekdays.

The film has seen very good collections around the country, except for the South markets that reportedly underperformer. The film that has broken several records over the past months, is well on its way to cross the business of Kartik’s previous releases, including ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, to become his highest-grossing film. In order for the film to cross the Rs 150 crore nett mark, Kartik will have to work his magic and add another estimated Rs 40 crore nett over the second week, a feat that is not too far out of his league.

Riding high on the box office success of his film, Kartik recently visited the holy city Varanasi to fulfil a vow he made if his films do well.

‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ exceeded expectations with an impressive opening that went on to be one of the biggest opening weekends of the year.

The young hunk even visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple on Tuesday and performed the Ganga aarti there.

In a first, post the pandemic, the Bollywood film was reportedly running house full shows in some theatres. It was even reported that the success and popularity of the film prompted theatre chains to drop Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Dhaakad’, for more ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2′ shows as the actress’ film didn’t meet the required demands.
