‘Heropanti 2’ box office collection day 2: Tiger Shroff’s actioner records a drop, collects Rs 4.75 crore – Times of India

This seems to be a very low score for an action entertainer starring Tiger Shroff in the lead. Tara Sutaria plays the leading lady opposite Tiger and Nawazuddin Siddiqui essaying the baggie. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the fate of ‘Heropanti 2’ now relies on the upcoming Eid holiday. The film also faced some competition from ‘KGF 2’ Hindi and Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Runway 34’. ‘Heropanti 2’ is the sequel to the 2014 film by the same name, which was directed by Sabbir Khan.

Speaking about ‘Heropanti 2’ releasing around Eid, Tiger had previously told BT, “Heropanti 2 is my first ever Eid release, a period that has been synonymous to Salman sir because of his blockbuster film releases. I am aware that the shoes are too big to fill but I’m glad that I got this opportunity to entertain the audience around a festive time like this. It’s a huge responsibility but the pressure reduces when I see all the love that is coming my way. I feel grateful.”
