The ‘Leading scores from the 2003-04 NBA season’ quiz
The Minnesota Timberwolves made a bit of noise when they advanced out of the Western Conference play-in tournament into the postseason for the second time in the last 18 seasons. They earned the right to take on the No. 2 seed Memphis Grizzlies in a series that has no shortage of compelling storylines. Game 1 took place on Saturday night and it gave fans a little bit of everything: superstar dads talking trash, a massive dunk by Karl-Anthony Towns, another on-court protester and even some weird audio glitches for the fans at home. The Wolves got the better of the Grizz in Game 1, and afterward, Anthony Edwards discussed the stadium’s atmosphere while putting everything into the proper perspective. “They talk so much trash. Even the kids. The kids was the worst ones. Even 8 years old, 10 years old, ‘Anthony go sit down! You suck!’ It’s just fun. Basketball is fun to me. I love it.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. The Wolves still needs to win three games against Memphis to advance to the second round. No easy feat, but if they do, it will be just the second time that they have advanced to the second round. The other time? 2003-04 when Kevin Garnett took them all the way to the Western Conference Finals. So with that in mind, how many of the top 25 leading scorers from the 2003-04 NBA season can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
