‘Dekho mat, saha nahi jaayega’: Wasim Jaffer, fans react to Team India’s massive collapse at Headingley
Team India were given a taste of their own medicine after winning the toss and batting first in the third Test at Headingley in Leeds as England bowled them out for just 78 runs. It seemed like the hosts worked hard in the break and changed their lengths evidently, to a little fuller as they reaped the rewards for it instantly.
James Anderson blew away India’s top-order in his storm by setting up with incoming deliveries and outswinger being the surprise ball in the case of KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara while keeping the ball in that channel of uncertainty outside the off-stump and got Virat Kohli too in his initial spell.
After which, it was a combined effort from their pace attack as Ollie Robinson, Craig Overton and Sam Curran dismissed the middle and lower order cheaply as apart from Rohit Sharma, none of the Indian batsmen could offer any resistance and England shot out India for just 78 runs in the first innings.
It was India’s ninth-lowest score in Test matches ever and third lowest after choosing to bat first.
Former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer took to Twitter to react to India’s collapse with a meme featuring a dialogue from the film ‘Main Hoon Na’ which said, ‘Don’t see, it would be unbearable’.

Fans and experts too reacted to India’s batting performance with hilarious reactions. Here are some of them:

Easily a worse batting performance than 36. It had some unplayable deliveries. This, on the other hand, no words at all.

If 36 all out was an “anomaly,” I wonder what 78 all out will be.

India won by an innings at Headingley in 2002.
They should get that extra innings here.

Getting allout on 78 is OK. But getting allout on 78 in the absence of Broad, Archer, Stokes, Woakes, Wood is NOT OKK
