Kevin Garnett isn’t done being petty to Ray Allen
At some point, people move on. That’s a good thing, but it’s also important to let each individual do it at their own pace. Kevin Garnett has decided to take his time when it comes to Ray Allen.
Let’s go back in time. Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo were on a team called the Boston Celtics. They were very good at basketball. In fact, one year they were the best at basketball. People were very proud of them, and many of us still are.
There is a catch with basketball teams though. They don’t stay the same forever. In many ways, this is good because without changing rosters many franchises would be starting very old and/or not alive people. No team has ever won an NBA championship starting anyone over the age of 75 or dead.
People move. Lineups change. Even very good teams of very good players who played very well together eventually have their last game as a unit. Ray Allen left the Boston Celtics. He did this voluntarily. Kevin Garnett did not.
This made Kevin Garnett angry. Maybe not angry. Maybe upset. Miffed. Adequately annoyed to the point of erasing Ray Allen’s presence from a bit of history posted to Instagram.
Kevin Garnett hasn’t let go of his anger with Ray Allen
Either KG is upset or he felt Allen’s tan suit clashed with the rest of the group.
Regardless, there is no Ray Allen in KG’s version of the picture while in the original picture he is in fact there. It’s Garnett’s account and his choice, but this does seem to indicate there is a lingering discontent.
It’s been nearly a decade since this rift first formed. It’s hard to say when, if ever, it might heal. In the meantime, we have something to talk about. Other people not liking each other is fun sometimes.
