Exclusive Scoop On Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Shehzada’: Was Rs 9 crore and the intervention of Sajid Nadiadwala and Anil Thadani required to stop the Hindi dubbed version of ‘Alu Vaikunthapurramuloo’? – Times of India
A small release by Shah on his private channel has gone unnoticed and hardly anybody will see it hereafter. But Shah is happy as the source divulging this scoop further tells us, “Manish bhai ko sirf paise ka rang dikhta hai.”
Added the source, “That day, the trio sat at Shah’s office till 2.30 pm. It wasn’t easy to convince Shah but the presence of Nadiadwala and Thadani helped, especially that of the former. The three arrived at Shah’s office almost at the same time (clearly, they’d co-ordinated with each other) and spoke very nicely to Shah. Finally, they prevailed upon him- but not before settling an amount to the tune of Rs 9 crore with him.”
So how did Nadiadwala and Thadani come into the picture? Thadani knows Shah quite well because he distributed ‘Pushpa’ whose Hindi dubbing rights too were in Shah’s space. Nadiadwala was approached by the makers of ‘Shehzada’ as he is someone whom everyone looks up to when it comes to his quality and quantity of work in not only movies but Producer Associations as well.
Shah has been quite a thorn in the flesh of ‘Shehzada’. Recently, he alleged that Kartik had threatened to walk out from the film if the Hindi dubbed version was not stopped from releasing in theatres. The director of ‘Shehzada’ Rohit Dhawan and the producers issued a statement that nothing of such sort had transpired.
We contacted Shah and he cut us short saying that he would like this to be answered by his publicist. We prodded but Shah was insistent about his LOA (Line Of Action). Of course we texted the publicist pronto with the details of this story, but got no revert. Not that we were surprised!
‘Shehzada’ is being produced by Allu Aravind, T-Series and Aman Gill.
