And it seems the latest to take a leaf out of the haute goth playbook is Katy Perry—even if, naturally, it came with plenty of the pop star’s signature playful styling touches.
Ahead of her performance on tomorrow night’s Saturday Night Live, where Perry appears as the musical guest alongside Willem Dafoe, Perry shared a snap on Instagram of her filming the promo for this week’s episode in a slinky black Mugler bodysuit. Styled by Perry’s latest fashion collaborator Tatiana Waterford, the look channeled Morticia Adams by way of Catwoman, featuring a number of racy sheer cut-out details around the bodice, tuxedo-style sleeves, and a tailored pant that ran all the way down to her vertiginous black heels.
Following her recent return to the classic long black hairstyle she wore during her breakout years as a singer in the late-aughts, it was quintessential Katy Perry with a deliciously sinister twist. Roll on tomorrow’s performance.
