From Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli to Shah Rukh Khan-Gauri Khan, celebs who did their best to keep their kids away from media glare | The Times of India
Shortly after the birth of Vamika in January 2021, the couple had appealed to the paparazzi to refrain from clicking her pictures. Anushka and Virat even sent a note to the paparazzi fraternity that read, “Hi, Thank you for all the love that you have given us for all these years. We are happy to celebrate this momentous occasion with you. As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support.”
Last year, they had revealed why they wanted the paparazzi not to publish pictures or videos of their baby girl. In an Instagram post, Anushka wrote, “We seek privacy for our child and would like to do our best to give her a chance to live her life freely away from media and social media. As she is older we cannot restrict her movement and hence your support is needed so kindly practice restraint in the matter.”
When Vamika’s pictures started circulating on the internet last weekend, Anushka penned a statement once again requesting fans and media portals not to publish photos of her daughter, saying that she wasn’t aware that the camera was on them.
“Hi guys! We realise that our daughter’s images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter. We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn’t know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stay the same. We would really appreciate it if Vamika’s images are not clicked/ published for reasons we have explained earlier. Thank You!” she wrote.
