Tottenham star Harry Kane breaks social media silence with training picture as he builds fitness
Harry Kane has taken to social media for the first time since returning to training at Tottenham as he continues to work on his fitness with Manchester City remaining interested in signing him this summer.
Striker Kane, who is valued at an eye-watering £150million, has been left at home for Spurs’ Europa Conference League trip to face Pacos de Ferreira in Portugal this week, and is still under a cloud of speculation.
He is yet to play under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo, having only recently returned from a holiday in the Caribbean, and is being put through his paces while he attempts to get back to peak condition for the new season.

Despite the dogged links with City, Kane has revealed that he is fully focused on his sharpness, and posted a recent picture of himself training at his club, accompanied by the caption, ‘Another session in the bank’.
It was not expected that Kane would feature in the tie tomorrow, which marks Spurs’ first steps in the newly-launched competition, with Espirito Santo choosing to leave him behind so he can continue working his way back.
Kane made his comeback to training earlier this week after finishing a period of isolation at the hotel at the club’s training complex, and underwent a solo session on Monday before then joining team-mates the day after.
Kane has been put through his paces at Spurs’ complex after reporting back for duty recently
Last weekend’s Premier League opener against Manchester City arrived too soon for him, despite Espirito Santo previously insisting that Kane was in contention, and he failed to make the matchday squad entirely for the 1-0 win.
Meanwhile, the off-field tension stemming from his desire to leave his boyhood club is set to continue for the rest of the transfer window. As reported by Sportsmail, Kane believes Daniel Levy has broken a promise to let him go.
Sources insisted Kane will continue to work hard at Spurs, despite his belief that they have failed to match his ambition. He was under the impression he would be able to exit if Spurs didn’t win a trophy or qualify for the Champions League.
As a result, he is still determined to join top-flight champions City before the window slams shut on August 31. Their latest offer is worth £125m, but Spurs are still holding steadfast over their minimum valuation of £150m.

Daniel Levy is adamant that Kane is not for sale, a stance which the frontman has viewed as breaking the promise. Kane himself wants to claw back the trust and faith of Tottenham supporters in the meantime.
It was also revealed by Sportsmail that Kane was unlikely to make the flight to Portugal today, and indeed that has proved to be the case. Espirito Santo wants him to continue working hard ahead of their next trip to Wolves.
City are open to tabling an improved bid before the end of the window, but Pep Guardiola and the Etihad chiefs are wary of dragging the transfer saga into next summer. They were also sensationally offered Cristiano Ronaldo for £25m.

Their primary target is Kane, however, who held talks with chairman Levy to air concerns over the direction of Spurs even before last year. It has also surfaced that he has been unsatisfied at the club for the last 18 months.
The relationship between Kane and Tottenham has threatened to turn sour and drastically worsen in light of his delayed return to training, but the England captain was adamant that a mix-up in communication was at fault.
He has also openly aired his disappointment at his previously sparking reputation taking a hit during City’s pursuit of him, and even released a statement on his social media pages that explained he would never refuse to train.

Kane released a statement online saying he was ‘hurt’ by fans questioning his professionalism
‘It’s almost ten years since I made my Spurs debut,’ he said. ‘For every one of those years, you – the fans – have shown me total love and support. That’s why it hurts to read some of the comments this week, questioning my professionalism.
‘While I won’t go into the specifics of the situation, I want to clarify that I would never, and have never, refused to train. I will be returning to the club tomorrow [Saturday, August 7], as planned.
‘I wouldn’t do anything to jeopardise the relationship with the fans who have given me such unwavering support during my time with the club. This has always been the case as it is today. Harry.’
