‘Minnal Murali’ actor Tovino Thomas reveals why he rejected Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ – Exclusive! – Times of India

Tovino told ETimes, “When I got a call, I had to do a buzz cut hairstyle for the role, and I had this long funk hair while I was shooting for ‘Minnal Murali’ and it’s a dream project for us, so I had to finish the movie.” The Malayalam actor went on to say that he realised he was missing something huge, and he didn’t have any other option but to say no for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. He said “I wouldn’t say I regret not doing the movie, but I was surely upset (about) letting it go.”

When we asked Tovino as to who he would like to work with in Bollywood, he was quick to name Salman Khan as his favourite. Talking about his experience of meeting the star, Tovino revealed he had to take an appointment to meet Salman Khan. He found him very humble and grounded. The actor stated, “I met Salman sir and it was an amazing experience for me, he asked me where I workout and I said in the hotel gym, he offered me to workout in his gym.”

When asked which director he would like to collaborate with in Bollywood, the actor quickly named Anurag Kashyap and Vasan Bala.

While a lot of South superstars are getting recognition in Bollywood, here’s hoping Tovino gets a massive break soon!
