Celtic dealt further injury blow as Forrest limps off against Motherwell
CELTIC have been dealt another injury blow as James Forrest limped off against Motherwell.
The winger was one of nine changes to the side after the midweek win over Real Betis.
But Forrest only managed to play 18 minutes before he signalled for medical attention.
The Scotland international had the ball on the edge of the Motherwell box as he aimed a cross into the area before pulling up.
Forrest appeared to have felt a pain after the movement as he stopped and sat on the turf before being treated by physios.
It was clear from the moment Forrest felt the injury that he couldn’t continue.
But positively he was able to walk himself off the pitch to applause from those inside Parkhead.
Forrest was replaced by Mikey Johnston as Celtic’s injury list continues to grow.

Kyogo and Albian Ajeti both missed the match with Motherwell with suspected hamstring knocks.
Ange Postecoglou admitted the Swiss striker’s fitness woes could be “significant” with Kyogo monitored “day-by-day”.
Benfica loanee Jota is also out with a hamstring problem he picked up in the win over Hearts earlier this month.
