Former England skipper Michael Vaughan felt that India are ‘hot favourites’ to win the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup considering their performances in the warm-up games. Team India, along with South Africa were the only team to win both their warm-up games.
Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, and openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma were the stars in the second game against Australia while the likes of Mohammed Shami, Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul helped the men in blue blow away England in their first.
Team India ticked many boxes in their two games and will be confident ahead of their opening game of the tournament against arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday, October 24.
Seeing their performance in the two games, Vaughan reckoned, “The way India are playing the warm up games suggests they may be now Hot favourites to Win the #T20WorldCup !!!”

West Indies, who are one of the pre-tournament favourites, lost both their warm-up games and will have to pull up their socks as they face the dominant England side in their tournament opener on Saturday, while Australia will lock horns against South Africa.
