‘World Cup winning captain and a Kiwi coach’: Wasim Jaffer’s prediction on IPL 2021 winner gets fans excited
What a journey it has been for the teams playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. From starting their campaign in India to it getting halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to again restarting, but this time in the UAE – the cash-rich tournament has finally reached the very last stage – the Final.
The two teams – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) – who will lock horns, have had drastic campaigns as they made it to the final.
While CSK put their horror campaign in the 2020 season in the UAE behind and stormed back with a change in attitude, KKR, on the other hand, just returned as a completely different team in the UAE leg.
So with everyone making their predictions on who will win the 14th edition of the IPL, Punjab Kings (PBKS) batting coach, Wasim Jaffer has also put out his views on the same.
However, the man, as always, made sure to get fans laughing as he wrote, “Prediction: A World Cup-winning captain and a Kiwi coach will lift the trophy tonight #CSKvKKR #IPL2021”.
It is known that both CSK skipper MS Dhoni and KKR captain Eoin Morgan have won the ICC World Cup tournament and their coaches Brendon McCullum and Stephen Fleming both have been the head of New Zealand cricket.

As for the clash, while CSK is playing their 9th final in 12 IPL seasons (with the side being suspended for 2 seasons), KKR, on the other hand, is playing their third final, having never lost a summit clash before.
