India vs Afghanistan LIVE Score, World Cup 2023: It’s time for the Indian cricket team’s second match of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 as they take on Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. India started their campaign with a six-wicket win over five-time champions Australia in Chennai, while Afghanistan suffered a similar margin defeat to Bangladesh in their opener in Dharamsala. Afghan Atalans would want to clinch a win in Delhi and open their account but they face the mighty Men in Blue who are in no mood to spoil their league campaign after a clinical win over Australia.
In the high-octane clash, Indian spinners ruled the roost to bowl out the Aussies for 199 and despite some early hiccups, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul put together 165 runs as India completed the chase inside 42 overs. In Delhi. the teams will be up against batting-friendly conditions and Indian batters will be looking to get a good hit before other crucial matches arrive. Team India, however, will be without Shubman Gill who is still recovering from dengue fever. Gill will today travel to Ahmedabad to continue his treatment as BCCI hopes to have him fit for the match against arch-rivals Pakistan on 14 October.
