New York Jets fans go wild as team reveals new ‘legacy white uniform’ that Aaron Rodgers will wear for his debut in Week 1 of the new NFL season

Jets fans can’t wait for the 2023-24 NFL season to start after the team’s unveiling of it’s legacy white uniform that Aaron Rodgers and Co. will wear for the quarterback’s debut in Week 1. 

On Monday, Jets owner Woody Johnson shared a photo of Rodgers modelling the team’s brand-new uniform along cornerback Sauce Gardner and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams by his side. 

The spotlight white jerseys stand out in particular due to the addition of a Gotham green collar and two stripes on each side, though the absence of the team’s logo is noticeable.

The fit is complemented with all-white shorts, also with two bands on each side. 

‘We need this on the shelves for purchase asap!’ a fan replied to Johnson’s tweet of the team’s newest uniform.

‘Just make these new the uniforms!!!’ another user commented. 

‘BRING THE LOGO BACK FULL TIME’ said a third person. 

‘This is clean [,] loose the black and y”all good,’ tweeted a fan, referring to the team’s alternate uniform.

Last season, the Jets essentially wore green, black and spotlight white in games, depending on if they were playing at home. 

One omnipresent element of all three of the team’s uniforms is the Jets’ iconic green and white helmet.

The Jets’ home – MetLife Stadium – will also get a new look from Week 1 to Week 4 with a throwback logo at center field to compliment the team’s legacy jerseys, said Johnson.

During 2022-23 season, the team added a steal black, alternate jersey and new black helmets 

Rodgers and his new teammates will face the Cleveland Browns in a preseason Hall of Fame game on August 3, though starters are expected to sit out. 

Gang Green will then take on the Carolina Panthers nine days later before playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 19 and the New York Giants seven days after that.

The Jets open their new campaign against in-state rivals Buffalo Bills on September 11.

Rodgers will also wear the team’s legacy white uniform against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2, the New England Patriots in Week 3 and reigning champs’ Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.
