Seth Rollins has revealed the current opportunity available to the WWE following writers strikes across Hollywood. 

The WWE superstar discussed how the impasse between the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA with Tinseltown’s top executives regarding better pay and conditions. 

Vince McMahon’s WWE has remained unaffected as its writers are not part of a union body. Rollins told TMZ the pro wrestling conglomerate was resultantly in a  ‘fortunate’ position. 

‘We’re able to still perform and, for our audiences and people who may not be familiar, now they get the opportunity to tune in and see what we’re all about,’ he said. 

‘Business is hot right now,’ Rollins added. ‘We’re in a boom, I think. When we look back on it, it’s going to be a special time.’

Despite the current success of his employers, the two-time WWE champion is sympathetic to the plight of those in Hollywood. 

‘I know it’s a difficult time for the actors and the writers,’ he said from LAX. ‘I believe they’re doing the right thing asking for what they deserve. I stand by them.’

The Hollywood dispute has stretched to impact the sports world – as recently as in previous weeks.

Sports talk host Pat McAfee handled the opening monologue at the ESPYS in his first major public appearance since joining ESPN in May.

The show didn’t have a celebrity host as a result of the ongoing standoff. McAfee offered a series of hints that comedian Kevin Hart had been set for the gig but that Hart instead chose to support the Writers Guild of America.

An ESPN spokeswoman said a production team worked with presenters on their introductory remarks.
