According to reports, the film earned an estimated Rs 16 crore on Day 4. This was a big rise after witnessing a fall in collections on Thursday and Friday.The film, that is the seventh instalment in theMission Impossible franchise, opened with a collection of Rs 12.3 crore, which set it up for a good start at box office.
The impressive numbers have taken the film’s total collection to an estimated Rs 46.20 crore in India. The film will shoot past the 50-crore mark on Sunday and will have a week to rake in the big bucks before it faces competition at the box office with the highly anticipated new Hollywood arrivals – Margot Robbie in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie‘ and Cillian Murphy in the Christopher Nolan film ‘Oppenheimer‘.
Helmed by Christopher McQuarrie, ‘MI7’ sees Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission yet. The film also features an ensemble cast including Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Czerny, Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Cary Elwes, Frederick Schmidt and Mariela Garriga.
Meanwhile, at the international box office, the film is projected to gross $250 million worldwide by Sunday, but the numbers were readjusted following the lower domestic collections. With a collection of $40 million so far at the US box office, and another $82 million from overseas markets, ‘Dead Reckoning Part One’ grossed $122 million worldwide.
