India’s Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy enter Quarterfinals of Men’s Singles event at Indonesia Open Badminton tournament in Jakarta

In the Indonesia Open Badminton tournament, India’s Kidambi Srikanth will be up against Chinese badminton player Li Shifeng at 12.30 pm while HS Prannoy will lock horns with Japan’s Kodai Naraoka tomorrow in the men’s singles quarterfinal matches in Jakarta.
Earlier, Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy moved on to the quarter-final stage. Kidambi Srikanth beat compatriot Lakshya Sen in straight sets 21-17, 22-20, while HS Prannoy defeated Hong Kong’s Angus Ng Ka Long 21-18, 21-16.
In Men’s doubles, the Indian pair of Satviksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty also entered the quarter-finals defeating China’s He Jiting and Zhou Haodong 21-17, 21-15. Satvik and Chirag will now clash with the Indonesian pair of Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Fajar Alfian at 1 pm tomorrow.
In Women’s Singles, India’s challenge ended after the two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu lost 18-21, 16-21 to Taiwan’s Tai Tzu-Ying.
Another Indian Shuttler Priyanshu Rajawat also crashed out after losing the second-round match against Indonesia’s Anthony Sinisuka Ginting 22-20, 21-15, 21-15.
