Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ postponed to December 2023: Report – Times of India
The reason for this delay is due to more work needed on it from the VFX department, as per a report. The director needs more time to give a world-class product and hence, doesn’t want to compromise on the VFX, even if it means the film has to be delayed. The action sequences of the film are touted to be quite grand and hence, it’s not possible for the team to have it ready before August. Hence, the makers along with Ranbir have taken a collective call to push the film to December.
December 1 is being considered a new release date as it shall give the film a good window after ‘Tiger 3’ which releases three weeks before. Fans are waiting with bated breath for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s reunion in ‘Tiger 3’ and now Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo in the film has left people in more anticipation. Meanwhile, December 1 release would give ‘Animal’ some space to grow with a free window up till Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ which releases on Christmas this year.
The first look poster and Ranbir’s intense avatar along with some leaked pictures have been loved by fans. Moreover, Bobby Deol’s look and Ranbir’s first-time pairing with Rashmika Mandanna have also given the audience a reason to look forward to the film. ‘Animal’ also stars Anil Kapoor.
As of now, it’s good news for ‘Gadar 2’ as it won’t have a huge clash with ‘Animal’ on August 11.
