Real Madrid stars Joselu and Dani Carvajal married to twin sisters
A Real family reunion! Real Madrid’s new signing Joselu is right back Dani Carvajal’s brother-in-law, with the two players having married twin sisters
Real Madrid’s new signing Joselu will be greeted by a familiar face at the Bernabeu this summer – his brother-in-law and new team-mate Dani Carvajal.
Joselu departed Madrid in 2012 to join Hoffenheim, but 11 years later, via spells at Stoke City and Newcastle, he has returned to the Spanish capital.
The 33-year-old striker and Carvajal came through Madrid’s youth teams at a similar time, and they also know each other very well off the pitch.
The pair met their respective partners while they were in the early stages of their respective Madrid careers, and it turns out they are twin sisters.
Joselu married Melanie Canizares in 2016, with the couple still going strong over a decade after meeting, while Carvajal wedded Daphne Canizares last year, and they are expecting their second child together after confirming Canizares is pregnant on social media in March.

Melanie is a flight attendant and model, whereas Daphne owns the company ‘Blue Weddings’, who specialise in organising weddings and social events.
With Joselu leaving Madrid over a decade ago, he and Carvajal have gone on to have very different career paths.
Carvajal has won five Champions Leagues and three LaLiga titles with Los Blancos, while Joselu only picked up his first piece of silverware on Sunday when Spain beat Croatia on penalties to win the Nations League.
Joselu gave a glimpse of his ability in the semi-final three days earlier, netting a late winner as Spain saw off Italy.

He is also coming off the back of an excellent season at Espanyol that saw him score 16 goals in a team that finished second-bottom.
He is now set to get another chance at one of Europe’s biggest clubs, but has huge boots to fill following Karim Benzema’s decision to call time on his 14-year Madrid career to move to Saudi Arabia.
But with Carvajal alongside him, Joselu will hope to settle back in quickly to help Madrid regain their crown from Barcelona next term.
