LONDON: International stars Justin Bieber and Jason Derulo will headline a pair of after-race concerts during the inaugural Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend in December, organizers announced on Thursday. They are joined on the bill by Tiesto, ASAP Rocky and David Guetta.

Derulo and Tiesto will perform on Saturday, Dec. 4, after the qualifying session, while Bieber, ASAP Rocky and Guetta will round off the three-day event after the big race on Sunday, Dec. 5.

Both concerts, and a third on the Friday night, will take place on the main stage in the Jeddah Corniche Fan Zone. Entry to the shows is free for all Grand Prix ticket holders.

Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Abdullah Al-Faisal, the chairman of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, said he was happy to confirm the international stars who will entertain the crowds at the event.

“Those stars have a massive talent and influence in the music world,” he said. “We look forward to seeing them perform during the live concerts on the major stage next December, and transporting all the cheerfulness and excitement from the racetrack to the stage after a day of racing competition.

“We also want to provide the fans with an unforgettable entertainment experience and a unique opportunity to celebrate the arrival of F1 competition to Saudi Arabia.

“I invite everybody to book their race tickets early to guarantee that they enjoy themselves during the Kingdom’s biggest entertainment event ever and see the world’s most prominent stars (light up) Jeddah.”

The inaugural F1 Saudi Arabia Grand Prix weekend will take place between Dec. 3 and 5. The main race will be a night race around the Jeddah Corniche street circuit.
