Sanjay Kapoor opens up about being compared to his ‘super-duper star’ brother Anil Kapoor: ‘I knew it would happen’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India
In an interview with a news portal, Sanjay revealed that there are pros and cons of the family being in the limelight. People expect 10 times higher. He recalled his first film being compared to Anil’s last film. Sanjay pointed out to the fact that when he started his career, Anil was already a superstar.He was the person who had given ‘Mr India’, ‘Tezaab’, ‘Ram Lakhan’… So, obviously the comparison was there. They were brothers so Sanjay always knew it would happen.
Elaborating further, Sanjay added that when his later films didn’t do well at the box office, he didn’t throw in the towel easily. Instead, he is glad that he is still a working actor, even after all these years.
He concluded by saying that he knew the journey was going to be tougher. So he worked and fought harder. The actor added that instead of getting depressed or frustrated, he kept on working harder towards the craft. He revealed that he has four films about to be released. He believes that he must have done something right to last for 30 years.
Sanjay will soon be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bloody Daddy‘ which stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.
