Captain America: New World Order title changed! Anthony Mackie announces new title and logo | English Movie News – Times of India
In an Instagram post, Mackie gave fans a first glimpse of Harrison Ford on the sets and revealed that the film is nowtitled Captain America: Brave New World. Sharing a photo of himself in character of Sam Wilson aka Captain America, Mackie appeared to be having a cheery conversation with Ford, who joined the MCU as General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross, a role previously played by Oscar-winner William Hurt who passed away in March at the age of 71.
“When Harrison Ford tells you how kicking ass should look, you listen! LoL… Thanks for the on-set wisdom and laughs my friend! Can’t wait to do it again… Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World in theatres May 3, 2024,” he captioned the photo.
According to reports, Brave New World is the subtitle of the 2017 Secret Empire comics in which Captain America was discovered to be the Supreme Leader of Hydra. It’s still unclear if the movie will follow the comic book’s storyline or if it will feature elements of the story.
This will be Mackie’s first film role as the Captain. He assumed the mantle of Captain America in the hit Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Captain America: Brave New World is slated to be released on May 3, 2024.
