Paul Pogba PSG transfer from Manchester United won’t happen this summer
While there had been rumors about a possible move to PSG for Paul Pogba, it doesn’t look like that’s going to be the case this summer.
While Lionel Messi may end up making his way to Paris Saint-Germain in the near future, that won’t be the case for Paul Pogba. According to a report out of France, the Ligue 1 giants never put an official offer on the table for Manchester United to try and sell them Pogba.
Reports had swirled stating Pogba to PSG was in the works, but that’s not the case. For now, it looks like Pogba is staying at Old Trafford for the final year of his current deal.
Paul Pogba appears set to stay at Manchester United and not head to PSG
This is of course exciting news for Manchester United fans. After the team brought in Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane during the transfer window, countless folks have been fired up about the club’s potential.
However, things would have gone south quite quickly had Pogba left town to go and play with Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr. and others in Paris. With Messi making his way to PSG as well, the French side is looking loaded for the upcoming season.
As for United, the EPL team is hoping to win its first trophy since 2017, when they captured the Europa League crown. This past season, United finished in second place of the English Premier League table with its 74 points. They were 12 points behind the champions Manchester City.
While City looks poised to repeat as champs this upcoming season, United will be ready to try and surprise some folks. Their chances of doing that are no doubt getting higher with Pogba not going anywhere for 2021-22.
