Pooja Hegde talks about Cirkus failure: It did upset me a little bit but I came out a winner – Times of India

Pooja Hegde, who will be next seen in Salman Khan’s upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, recently revealed that she was upset with the box office failure of Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus. The Ranveer Singh starrer was made with a budget of Rs 150 crore approximately and it earned merely over Rs 40 crore during its lifetime.
Talking about the film getting tanked at the box office, Pooja admitted in a chat show that the failure did upset her a little because she considered the film as her baby. However, she prefers to look at the positive side of it. She said that she got to learn from it and was able to work with Rohit Shetty and comedy legends like Johny Lever and Sanjay Mishra.

She called it a great experience overall and said that despite the film’s failure, people appreciated for her role. She then praised Rohit and said that he is a great person to deal and work with. She thinks that overall, she came out as a winner.

Recently, Pooja had said that success and failure are part of the process in an actor’s journey. In 2022, except for Beast, Pooja’s three other movies, Radhe Shyam with Prabhas, Acharya with Chiranjeevi and Cirkus with Ranveer failed at the box office.

She further said that actors should be allowed to fail, adding that there’s no actor who hasn’t had failure in his or her career. She added that if she doesn’t make a few mistakes, she will not grow. She feels grateful that her performance is being noticed and appreciated.

In Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Pooja is paired opposite Salman. She plays Bhagyalaxmi, a fun and free-spirited woman. The movie, which also also features Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Shehnaaz Gill and Palak Tiwari, is slated to be released on April 21.
