For a long time Naga Chaitanya and Samantha have been hitting headlines for rumours about their separation but the couple refused to comment on their relationship status. The couple was reportedly waiting for ‘Love Story’ to release in theatres, post which they decided to make their separation official. Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer ‘Love Story’ released on September 24, and after celebrating the film’s success, the couple announced their separation.

After years of dating, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya got engaged on January 29, 2017. The couple went on to tie the knot in a dreamy destination wedding hosted in Goa. Samantha and Naga had a Hindu and a white wedding. Samantha sparked rumours of separation this year after she opted to drop Akkineni from her social media accounts. In her official statement on social media, Samantha had shared, “After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us”.
