We will be official divorced soon, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has reached out for a settlement, reveals his wife Aaliya Siddiqui – Times of India

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya has confirmed that the turmoil in their personal life will soon end as divorce proceedings have begun.
“Nawazuddin has reached out for a settlement but I haven’t responded to the same yet. Divorce will happen, that’s for sure and I will also be fighting for the custody of both my kids. Nawaz has also filed for custody but I will not let that happen. Both my kids want to stay with me and don’t want to live with him,” Aaliya told ETimes. Nawazuddin and Aaliya’s daughter Shora recently observed her first roza in the holy month of Ramadan, “I am happy if my daughter wants to follow Islam,” quipped Aaliya.

A few weeks back Aaliya had claimed that she was forced out of Nawazuddin’s palatial Andheri bungalow. While sources close to the actor revealed that the house belonged to Nawaz’s mother and he didn’t have any right to stop anyone from entering the house.

When asked about their present whereabouts, Aaliya updated, “I am currently staying in a rented apartment, which I had to vacate by March 30, but I requested for a one month extension as I am unable to find another accommodation. Societies are refusing to give me property on rent because of this dispute.” When asked about the house that Nawazuddin and she own, Aaliya added, “That place too is on rent and we cannot suddenly ask the tenant to break the contract and leave. But hopefully all troubles will end soon and we can live at peace in our small home”

Aaliya also added that both the kids are missing out on school since she doesn’t have the funds, but she has enrolled them in various classes to keep them abreast with the latest education. Aaliya revealed that after the divorce, she will revert to her original name, Anjana Kishore Pandey.
