Smith’s late husband Chester Smith was a radio and TV executive, and country singer. The couple considers their relationship a blessing from God.
Smith stated that she lost her husband 14 years ago, and like Rupert, her late husband was a businessman.
Murdoch, who has six children from his previous marriages, expressed his excitement about spending the remainder of his life with Smith. The couple plans to tie the knot in late summer and will divide their time between California, Montana, New York, and the UK. The media mogul has been married several times before, to Patricia Booker, Anna Mann, and Wendi Deng, who is an entrepreneur of Chinese origin.
