Anthony Edwards ‘is already OUT of his walking boot’ in HUGE boost for the Minnesota Timberwolves as they look to seal NBA postseason spot
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has already taken off his walking boot after suffering a serious-looking injury against the Chicago Bulls on Friday.
The 21-year-old NBA All-Star had played in 71 straight games, but was ruled out indefinitely after falling hard on his ankle during the Timberwolves’ loss to the Bulls.
He was seen hobbling off at the end of the first quarter and was later diagnosed with an ankle sprain, but Shams Charania of The Athletic reported on Sunday that things are already looking up.
He revealed that Edwards is already out of his boot and will now be evaluated day-to-day, a much better prognosis than fans were initially expecting in the wake of his injury.
Swelling has reportedly also decreased, and there are now hopes that he could play again this season, with less than two weeks left of the regular season.

As it stands, Minnesota occupy a play-in spot in the Western Conference, and sit a game and a half back from the playoffs ahead of a vital last 10 games.
Edwards’ injury occurred while he jumped to pass the ball to a teammate, with the third-year player falling to the ground afterwards and letting out a loud scream.
He has been instrumental for Minnesota this season, leading the team with 24.7 points per game, while also chipping in 5.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists.
The 2020 No. 1 overall pick has been especially vital with Karl-Anthony Towns sidelined since November 28 with a calf strain.
