Los Angeles FC ROUTS New England Revolution 4-0 for second win of season, as second-half barrage gives MLS defending champs three points
Los Angeles FC won its second game of the young MLS season Sunday night vs. the Revolution, as a Denis Bouanga brace helped the team ease past New England.
Bouanga converted a 14th-minute penalty down the middle of the goal after Timothy Tillman was fouled in the box.
And the Gabonese striker doubled his side’s lead in the second half, latching onto Jose Cifuentes’ ball over the top in the 67th minute before shooting between the keeper’s legs.
Tillman, who was making his start for LAFC, got a debut goal to wrap things up 16 minutes later, stealing the ball from Latif Blessing before firing into the left corner.
Stipe Biuk added a goal from close range in the dying stages of the match to add a fourth and final goal in the 96th minute.
LAFC has started its title defense strong, as the club sits second in the Western Conference after three game-weeks, winning both of their games thus far.
