Janhvi Kapoor says she felt a weird sense of relief post Sridevi’s death: I deserve this horrible thing – Times of India

Janhvi Kapoor has often talked about how difficult it was to deal with the loss of her mother and legendary actress Sridevi, who passed away on February 24, 2018 in Dubai. In her new interview, Janhvi said that she experienced a horrible feeling of something bad has happened to her and also felt a weird sense of relief post her mother’s death.
“When I lost mom, of course there was this huge tragedy, there was a hole in my heart. But there was this horrible feeling of ‘something bad has happened’ to justify all the great things in my life and all the privilege and the things that I got easily which I heard my entire life. I thought ‘Ok now something bad has happened. I deserve this. I deserve this horrible thing that has happened to me. It was a weird sense of relief,'” Janhvi said during her interaction for Mojo Story.

She further said that the closest she will ever feel to her mother is by being in front of the camera since Sridevi used to tell her always to give her best shot in her debut. She said that the last conversation she had with Sridevi was about Dhadak.

She revealed spending most of her time at work since everything else had become blurry post Sridevi’s death. “I don’t think I remember anything. That entire month was a blur for me and a long time after that was also a blur,” she said while recalling that Sridevi used to call her ‘laddo’.

Janhvi was last seen in Mili and Good Luck Jerry. She will be next seen in Mr And Mrs Mahi with Rajkummar Rao. She will have a working 26th birthday on March 6 since she will be shooting for the film. She also has Bawaal with Varun Dhawan in the pipeline.
