Newcastle star Anthony Gordon ‘could face JAIL time after getting caught driving after road ban’
Newcastle star Anthony Gordon ‘could face JAIL time after getting caught driving his £100k Mercedes TWO days after being issued a road ban’
- The new Magpies winger could reportedly face time in jail for his recent actions
- Gordon got a ban on Monday for failure to provide details of the driver of his car
- However, the Newcastle star was spotted driving his Mercedes two days later
Newcastle’s new signing Anthony Gordon could be facing time behind bars after being caught driving just two days after receiving a road ban, according to reports.
The former Everton winger made headlines recently after his big-money to Newcastle late in the transfer window and it seems he’s back in the spot-light but this time for the wrong reasons.
On Monday, Gordon received a six-month disqualification for twice failing to disclose details of the driver of his car however was spotted behind the wheel just two day later.
According to the Sun, on Wednesday, the winger was pictured driving his £100,000 black Mercedes G-Wagon. His girlfriend was also present in the car.
Choosing to ignore a road ban can lead to up to six months in jail time for the offending party.

The outlet claim that Gordon was seen parked in Gateshead’s busy town centre outside the Hilton hotel during the day.
Two days after the incident, on Friday morning, it’s understood that Gordon’s girlfriend Anna Keating dropped him at Newcastle’s training ground.
Northumbria Police said: ‘As is standard practice, we wouldn’t confirm or deny the identity of anyone who may or may not be part of a police investigation and who has not been charged with a criminal offence.’
It’s not the first time in recent weeks that Gordon and his car have made headlines for off-pitch incidents.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Gordon had completed his £40million move to Newcastle after he told Everton he had no intention of returning to training at Finch Farm after missing a total of three days, the first of which was planned.
He infuriated fans over his conduct despite being a boyhood Everton fan and was chased in his car by a supporter following their 2-1 loss to Southampton.
Supporters took to the streets after the match to run after Gordon’s car, scream obscenities and tell him to ‘get out of our club’ – after team-mate Yerry Mina was also confronted and urged to ‘show a bit of heart’ in their relegation battle.
TikTok footage showed the fan sprinting down the road to catch up to Gordon’s window before shouting through the driver-side window: ‘You f***ing d***head. Eh! K***head. Gordon! What the f***, like? F*** off! Get out of our club.’
