Liverpool fans have been venting their anger after being hammered 3-0 by a rampant Brighton side on Saturday.
The result, which saw Solly March hit a brace before a late goal from Danny Welbeck, moved the Seagulls past Jurgen Klopp’s side into seventh in the league.

They have now slipped to eighth in the league after challenging for four trophies last season
Jordan Henderson (pictured) and Fabinho were heavily criticised after the game
There were also concerns that there was ‘nothing shocking’ about the result as Brighton were ‘simply a better team’, a worrying thought for a side that was challenging for a quadruple less than a year ago.
Other fans focused on Liverpool’s failings in midfield, arguing that manager Jurgen Klopp ‘consistently picks [Jordan] Henderson and Fabinho despite them playing poorly all season.
‘How that pair came out second half God only knows. Klopp has doubled down on a broken midfield and moans when asked why.’

Jamie Carragher led Liverpool fans in condemning his former side’s performance
Some compared the misfiring duo to Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister, who ‘tore apart’ Liverpool despite costing just ‘£11.5 million’ between them.
The loss was the final straw for many, with tweets reading: ‘This team has given us amazing memories that we’ll never forget, but they’re finished. It’s time to move forwards and start a new era.’
‘Needs a reset from top to bottom. Ownership, management, players. Allow respective people to do their jobs,’ another added.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have struggled to live up to their usual standards amid an injury crisis
Despite racking up an enormous 92 points last season and finishing just one point off Champions Manchester City, Liverpool have struggled this year and now sit eighth in the league.
They have been hampered by injuries, but will still feel disappointed by the campaign so far after winning less than half of their 18 games.
Klopp’s men will next be in action against fellow struggling giants Chelsea next Saturday.
