68th Filmfare Awards 2023: Salman Khan to host this year’s ceremony on April 27 – Times of India
Salman looked dapper in a grey suit. He sported a clean shaven look and short hair. He was present at the felicitation ceremony.
During the press conference, Salman announced that he will be hosting this year’s award ceremony, which will take place on April 27.
He supported censorship on OTT saying if films are censored then why not on digital platforms. He also spoke about opening more theatres in India which would provide more opportunities for the film fraternity.
He further mentioned how states like UP and Haryana are offering rebates, which are turning out to be helpful in reducing production costs. He also added that he along with Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn are not going to give up because of the new generation of actors and they will continue to work hard till their retirement.
“I’ve heard a lot that films are not working but if you don’t make good films, then how will they work,” Salman said, further adding that films that have worked now, are those which are Indian and rooted.
He also spoke about how ticket prices have gone up and people want to see everything, from emotions to actions, in one big film.
Meanwhile, Salman along with Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez are also set to perform at the award ceremony.
