David Warner interview with the host broadcaster: I’m doing well, it’s a do or die clash for us and hopefully we can be on the right side. The prep has been better than last time, there were hiccups. But we have played and practiced a lot, so there are no excuses and we are good to go. Our plan is to stick to the basics, keep things simple. In our last game, we did not use big boundary well enough and holed out while trying to clear it. We need to rotate strike better and pick our areas smartly. The key to my consistency comes from the clarity of mind. Going well in first six allows guys coming down to build on the innings and those coming late can finish things off. I’m loving being part of the tournament, it is the best in the world. It’s awesome and I’m excited.

Tonight, with high stakes, we can expect another competitive game with the best of skills on display. If RR win, they will either join or overtake LSG at the second spot. For DC, winning today can help them stay in control of their own fate. Selections-wise, both teams will miss a key player going in. RR will be without Shimron Hetmyer, who has flown back home to Guyana for the birth of his child. Nagraj Gollapudi confirmed Prithvi Shaw will not be available as he has been hospitalized due to a gut-related issue.
