The Oversized Shearling Moto
Madeline Fass, market editor
“This jacket is from Khaite, it’s one of the most epic leather jackets I’ve ever worn. I love how big it is, the sleeves are oversized but have elastic for a snug fit at the wrist. The collar gives a nice contrast and adds extra warmth. In fall and winter especially, it’s important to have extra room in the underarms to layer, say, a chunky sweater underneath. This way, when it starts to get colder, you can extend the lifespan of the coat. When you’re looking for a leather jacket, it’s so important that it feels homey and worn in. This Khaite jacket, in particular, has that sense of pre-wornness with a passed-down feel; it’s one of those styles that never goes out of style and feels vintage even though it’s new.”
On the outfit, “I would describe my style as minimal but maximalist at the same time. I wear a lot of essential and staple pieces, like a leather jacket, a menswear trouser, a ballet flat, but they all have this elevated or updated sense to them. For example, pleated trousers, studded flats, which gives a fun twist to the pieces you wear every day.”

The Faux Leather Steal
Naomie Elizée, market editor On the jacket, “This amazing bomber jacket is from The Frankie Shop. It is under $500, which is absolutely why I love it. It’s great for in-between seasons and goes with everything. I also love how it’s a different take on the bomber jacket because of the length. It’s incredibly long and feels like one big hug when you put it on. A coat has to actually keep you warm. It can’t just look good, it needs to be functional.”
On the outfit, “With this jacket, I wanted to have a little bit of fun. I wore my graphic Chopova Lowena top for an extra layer of warmth, paired with my Loewe cargos and Margiela Tabi slingbacks.”

The Winter Bomber
Alexis Bennett, commerce writer
On the jacket, “This super cool jacket is from The Attico. I love how oversized it is, you can layer up underneath and you wouldn’t even be able to tell. When I’m shopping for a leather jacket, the most important thing is to figure out how many outfits I can wear with it. I like a jacket that I can throw on the weekend and feel cool and put together but also something I can wear to the office and feel polished at the same time.”
