The Steelers secondary will play well
This Steelers team feels very similar to that of 2019. The offense is mostly non-existent, and they rely on their defense to hold teams in order to win. The Steelers and Broncos played this exact game last season in Week 2. Drew Lock was the starter, and it looks like he’ll be starting again after Teddy Bridgewater suffered a concussion.
Not only is Denver without Bridgewater, they are also missing Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler. Pittsburgh’s secondary has been hit and miss this season, but the lack of playmakers for the Broncos will work in the Steelers favor.
Lock is a fine quarterback, but he is also a risk taker. He’s going to force a throw that isn’t there, which will lead to a takeaway for the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s offense isn’t doing well, but their weapons outweigh the Broncos. The Steelers defense will do enough to put them in position to win.
