3 finishes at Bellator 283 you have to see to believe
Bellator 283 proved you can’t write off any cards.
When Bellator 283 lost their main event title fight between Sidney Outlaw taking on Patricky “Pitbull” Freire for the Bellator lightweight title, some fans wrote the card off. It didn’t have the headlining stars that so many MMA fans equate to being “exciting”. Well, once again, that was proven to be a lie thanks to Bellator 283’s wild card.
The event was pure electricity from start to finish, with five finishes alone on the preliminary card. The main event was just as chaotic, giving fans the type of exciting fights they long strive for. Yet, with at least eight finishes on the card, are there any that stand out above the rest?
Yes, actually and the three we think are the most outstanding are below. These are the three finishes we think you need to see to believe.
Bellator 283 featured some wild finishes you won’t believe
Tofiq Musayev makes Sidney Outlaw regret taking the fight
Outlaw was supposed to get a title shot at Bellator 283, but Freire had to pull out due to injury, and that meant he got to have a night off. Outlaw, however, wasn’t having that and took a short-notice fight with former Rizin lightweight champion Tofiq Musayev stepping in as his challenger. The fight didn’t last long, just 27 seconds before Musayev was able to finish the fight with a striking combination that was like art in motion.
Veta Arteaga snatched Vanessa Porto’s neck
Veta Arteaga did her best Jason Forheese impersonation when she snatched Vanessa Porto’s neck. Porto (no relation) had a rough fight and was beaten pretty soundly at this point and the snatching of her neck by Arteaga felt more like a mercy finish than anything.
Dalton Rosta Superman punched Romero Cotton like he was Lex Luthor
The battle of two top prospects lived up to the billing. Romero Cotton did his work and did it well, it was just his night when Dalton Rosta did his best Superman impersonation and knocked Cotton loopy as he had just tried to take over Metropolis.
