He had no idea the impact he had as a choreographer with the film, but now over the years he’s understood it so he feels grateful.
The film’s music and dance numbers like ‘Le Gayi’ and ‘Dance Of Envy’ have never been recreated till date as they remain iconic. The choreographer also shared a throwback BTS video on his Instagram and wrote, “Firsts are always special. And when the firsts are with legends like Yashji, they become extra special. #25YearsOfDTPH. Thank you everyone for all your love over all these years❤️ #grateful.”
Shiamak furthed reminisced some memories of those times. He added that Madhuri had her strength and so did Karisma. He revealed that both the actresses were so accommodating and that was a relief for him as he’d never done this before. He said they both were pure professionals and didn’t have any tantrums or ‘natak’.
Karisma Kapoor also took to Instagram on the film’s 25th anniversary and shared some throwback pictures.
Talking about SRK, Shiamak said that the actor used to play football with his dancers and dance in the water during ‘Chak Dum Dum’. He continues to remain genuine and humble over the years despite his stardom. But Shiamak misses Yash Chopra today. The filmmaker had so much faith in Shiamak which even he didn’t have since his choreography style was quite western.
