NFL mock draft following the blockbuster trade that saw the Seattle Seahawks trade Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. Will Seattle take a quarterback?

It has been a crazy week for the NFL with Aaron Rodgers returning to the Green Bay Packers and Russell Wilson getting traded to the Denver Broncos. Those moves significantly impact the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, as the Seahawks now move into the top 10 and the Packers look to build around Rodgers once more.

Here, we look at what the first round could look like after this monster trade.

Evan Neal

Offensive Tackle,Jacksonville Jaguars

With the NFL Combine in the rearview mirror, the Jacksonville Jaguars now have more information to make their selection at No. 1 overall. Having the pick of the draft is key for this franchise, as they hope to see improvement from Trevor Lawrence in Year No. 2, and have a new coaching staff in place.

To get the most out of Lawrence next season, the Jaguars have to revamp the offensive line, so it makes sense that they would pick an offensive tackle with the first pick of the draft. Evan Neal is widely regarded as the best offensive lineman in this draft class and would team well with Cam Robinson protecting Lawrence.

Aidan Hutchinson

Edge,Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions will hold two first-round picks in 2022, this after trading away Matthew Stafford last offseason, and seeing their former signal-caller win the Super Bowl. With two picks in the first round, including the No. 2 overall pick, they could decide to go quarterback here, but instead, they choose an elite edge rusher.

You have plenty of edge rushers to choose from this year in the first round, but the first one taken should be Aidan Hutchinson, who played his college ball inside the state of Michigan. He would be a fan favorite from Day 1 in Detroit, and with Aaron Rodgers resigning with Green Bay, they need all the defensive help they can get.

Kayvon Thibodeaux

Edge,Houston Texans

When it comes to the Houston Texans, help is needed on both sides of the ball, so it will be interesting to see what they do with the No. 3 overall pick. The franchise still has to figure out what they plan to do with former quarterback Deshaun Watson, but with Davis Mills stepping up as a rookie last year, they can pass on a quarterback here.

Instead, the Texans decide to bolster their defensive line, selecting Oregon star Kayvon Thibodeaux, who could end up being the top overall selection in April. Thibodeaux fixes an issue along the defensive line that has hurt them since JJ Watt left, and to compete in the AFC South, you need to be able to get after the quarterback.
