14-year-old Indian American wins Spelling Bee 2022 competition; here are the winning words she spelt correctly – Times of India
Spelling bee is a competition in which the contestants are asked to spell different words varying in degrees of difficulty.
In the US Scripps National Spelling Bee competition held on June 2, 14 year old Harini Logan has clinched the winner’s title. This is her fourth time at the bee, she told the media. A piano enthusiast Harini had a cut throat competition with 12 year old Vikram Raju.
This year, a total of 234 participants or spellers from across the US and around the globe, came together to compete for the chance to be the Scripps National Spelling Bee champion.
Who is Harini Logan?
14 year old Harini Logan studies in 8th grade in The Montessori School of San Antonio. She had previously appeared in the bee. Harini previously competed in 2018 (tied for 323rd place), 2019 (tied for 30th place) and 2021 (tied for 31st place).

Her love for reading led her to compete in spelling bees.
